The Foundation

    The foundation has been established to advance the health, wellbeing, basic rights, social equality and self-determination of those who are physically and/or psychologically androgynous, namely, gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transvestites, transgendered, transsexual and intersex persons.

    It recognizes that many gender-different people labelled with syndromes, diseases and sysphorias are in fact disabled only by society.

To increase their recognition, it:
Promotes medical, social and educational research;

Provides a media resource base;

Actively disseminates information through scientific research, the arts and the internet;

Encourages the active participation of artists in exhibitions which will draw attention to the humanity of androgynous persons;

Creates a register for participants to facilitate networking;

Advocates legislative change for the protection of gender rights;

Recognizes the legal status of androgynous persons in passports, birth certificates, etc.;

Encourages tolerance and inclusivity in educational curricula and the media;

Celebrates diversity.

    The foundation's research covers aspects of endocrinology, urology, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry, clinical psychology, genetics, law, politics, history and education. The whole issue of gender identity is a major educational concern, and the foundation will respond to those educational, legal, ethical and historical concerns which further the rights of androgynous people to be treated in a holistic and humanitarian way. Several articles have already been published in international journals and we are seeking sponsorship for future research projects and a major art exhibition. There has already been substantial interest in both the exhibition and the foundation, even from international media in Brussels.

    We believe many people will benefit from your suppost of the foundation, through free discussion of these ideas with family, friends and associates. Negative and positive, extraordinary and ordinary, a diversity of opinions and beliefs all add dimension to a rich human society.
